How much does a PR cost

How much are you willing to pay for a PR? I’m sure that your answer is really close to…”not that much”. Usually, I’ve heard that people’s main reason is that „my business is not working properly and I can’t afford one”.

Ok, this I understand. I know what having a business means and how hard it is to keep it up. And what it means to bring your own money. But, can you really afford not to invest in someone who can help you when sales considerably decreased? It’s like you’re just waiting for a miracle to happen. I’m not trying to say that miracles don’t happen, but if no miracle will happen, are you ready to close all down?

„I pay my PR with 600 lei” , someone told me recently. Ok, and how much does she help you? Well…”she doesn’t”. That’s a big amount of money for no help, if you ask me.

Personally, I believe that people should be paid depending on their involvement and what they achieve. Elseway, the professional relationship won’t work. Everybody needs to be motivated. And, let’s be honest, money is the strongest motivation for most of us. I don’t believe in exaggerated costs, but I do believe there is a correct price. And this cand be really evaluated after the first month of working with a professional PR.

Yes, I am reffering to ROI (Return On Investment). Keep in mind that this can always be evaluated. Always! Even if some might try to convince you that this is not true.

So, analyse correctly the first month working with your PR. If you have enough good signs that lead you to the thought that your money are correctly invested and returned, you’’ve earned yourself the right partner!

Calculations must be done at least every month and they should lead you to certain conclusions. It’s true that not always significant and immediate achievements occur. This also depends on the form of your collaboration. If it’s a single project, a long therm collaboration or a permanent one. Certainly, when there’s at least a three months collaboration, results are visible. We must keep in mind that a PR is paid for a certain number of activities that can and must have impact, even after the collaboration is over.

So, analyse correctly the first month working with your PR. If you have enough good signs that lead you to the thought that your money are correctly invested and returned, you’’ve earned yourself the right partner! If not, i advise you not to spend more of your precious time.

This way, you realize if 600 lei is too much or too little.
